Prologue part 1

Adventures in Thiannon Online

Prologue 1a: Ash

A black haired boy races into his room. "Today's the big day...Thiannon Online opens to the public." he tells a yellow mouse creature as he checks the download for the game and finds it complete.

After installing the game and clicking its icon, he first logs into his Yumedream account, then is brought to the character creation screen.

"No wonder you were so excited to finish your chores today, Ash." the boy's mother notes as she brings in some clean laundry, bemused in the stylized version of himself her son is creating on the computer.

"Everyone's been waiting on Thiannon Online to go live ever since it was first announced last year." Ash explains as he finishes designing how his first character will look. "For the first time ever, you can explore the world of Thiannon and take part in a brand new story."

He smiles. "Don't worry, Arran, Jelan, and Loras are all there, though I don't know what roles they will play yet."

"Well, enjoy your game." Delia smiles as she departs. "I'll call you when dinner's ready."

Ash, meanwhile, turns his attention to the class selection screen. Let's see...what class do I want my character to be?

He selects the first class. Swordmaster-Brave and loyal, a swordmaster only wishes to see justice done, and channels the might of heaven in their blades.

"Nah..." he muses upon seeing his character clad in bulky plate armor, before clicking the next class: Ranger--lithe yet strong, rangers are right at home in the forests of Thiannon, guiding travelers or protecting the denizens that live there.

He then clicks over to "Elementalist", but his heart sinks when he sees that elementalist characters can't wield a bow like Jelan can. Maybe they'll add that in the first real patch.

Once he has read over all the class descriptions, he decides to create a ranger. I wonder if Misty and Brock have created characters yet? he wonders as he christens his ranger Merion.
